GRAD NIGHT - RULES, PERMISSION, WAIVER, AGREEMENT

RULES

Both parent/guardian and Aragon High School Class of 2026 graduating senior  (the Graduate”), regardless of Graduate’s age, must acknowledge and agree to the following rules (the “Rules”):

  • GENERAL: Grad Night (which may also be called the “Event”) is not a school-sponsored event but is organized by the Aragon High School (“AHS”) Parent Teacher Student Organization (“PTSO”) to provide Graduates with a safe, sober, substance-free celebration. Only Graduates may attend.
  • NO ID = NO ENTRY! All Graduates must present a photo ID at check-in. Check-in immediately follows graduation. Grad Night starts at check-in and ends upon return to AHS.
  • TICKETS: Tickets are non-refundable.
  • TRANSPORTATION: Buses have been chartered for the Event. The buses will take the Graduates to Pier 3, Hornblower Landing, San Francisco, for a San Francisco Bay Cruise, on a ship operated by City Cruises (the “Venue”) and then bring the Graduates back to AHS. Graduates must take the chartered buses to and from the Venue and may not arrive at the Venue by any other means. Graduates must meet at the designated spot on the AHS campus for check-in immediately following the graduation ceremony. They will return to AHS by approximately 3:00 AM. Graduates may not leave the Venue during the Event, and there will be no on-and-off privileges. All Graduates must have timely rides home because all chaperones will be officially off duty upon arrival back to AHS.
  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS: Graduates may not bring anything on the bus or to the Event except cell phones. This includes food, drinks, purses/bags, cosmetics, etc. Everything your Graduate needs for the evening will be provided. Any personal items (except cell phones) brought to Grad Night will be taken for safekeeping and returned at the end of the Event. No food or beverages may be removed from the Venue.
  • MEDICATION: Please inform us at GradNight@aragonptso.org if your Graduate needs to take any medication during Grad Night. During check-in, a chaperone will bag and label your Graduate’s medication and bring it to Grad Night.
  • DRUG/ALCOHOL POLICY: A strict check-in process will be enforced. During check-in, Graduates will be asked to empty their pockets. There is a no-tolerance policy regarding drugs or alcohol at the Event. The use of illegal or controlled substances, including marijuana, during the Event is prohibited. While at the Venue Federal controlled substance laws apply, and Graduate is subject to the jurisdiction of the United States Coast Guard. City Cruises reserves the right to discontinue the Event if illegal or controlled substances, including marijuana, are being used. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the check-in will not be permitted to board the bus. Additionally, anyone found with drugs or alcohol at the Event will be detained by the chaperones. Parents/Guardians must pick up their graduates at the Venue.
  • PASSENGER SCREENING AND THE AUTHORITY TO REFUSE TRANSPORT AND REMOVE PASSENGERS: City Cruises strives to conduct a safe enjoyable Event for all guests. In accordance with the Maritime Transportation Security Act of 2002, all passengers and their belongings are subject to search as directed by City Cruises’ Captain or his/her designee. City Cruises reserves the right to refuse to transport any passengers, and to eject any passengers at any port of call, at the passenger’s expense. If any passenger shall be ill, injured, act in a disorderly manner, or fail to comply with the applicable laws and regulations or any directive established during the Event for the general safety and comfort of others aboard the Venue, the Captain his/her designee, or a City Cruises employee, will be the sole judge of the condition of the passenger and the appropriate measures to be taken.
  • BEHAVIOR: Graduates must act responsibly and treat each other, the charter bus driver, the Venue staff, and the chaperones respectfully. Venue staff and chaperones will be present throughout the evening to help ensure that Graduates are safe and that everything goes smoothly. Graduates must comply with the directives and orders from the captain and personnel of the Venue during the Event and with any instruction given by the chaperones and the charter bus driver. Graduates must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Graduates must refrain from tampering with anything on the charter bus or the Venue. Should Graduate damage any item or cause any injury on the bus, at the Venue, or otherwise during the Event, Graduate and his, her or their parent or guardian will be responsible for the full cost of replacing such damaged item and for the medical and other expenses associated with such injury.
  • ATTIRE: Graduates are encouraged to wear comfortable, casual, warm clothes. It can be cold on San Francisco Bay.
  • PUBLICITY: Graduate, and if Graduate is under 18, I, on behalf of myself and my spouse, as guardians of the Graduate, hereby irrevocably grant to City Cruises the right to use, reproduce, create derivative works of, publish, display, and otherwise make publicly available the Graduate’s voice, image, likeness and any other identifying characteristics of the Graduate as contained in images, video, film or sound recordings from the Venue in any manner, including but not limited to, on or in City Cruises’ products, merchandise, goods or for purposes of advertising, promoting or otherwise selling City Cruises’ services, and soliciting purchases of, products, merchandise, goods or services, in any and all media, including its websites and social media channels, on a perpetual and worldwide basis, all without compensation to the Graduate.
